Last night saw our awesome singer, guitarist and keys player, Matt Nicholls open the show for MOTOWN SUPERSTAR, MARTHA REEVESat The Live Rooms in Chester.
It went down a storm and Martha even invited Matt up onto the stage to join her and her band in singing her smash 1967 US top 10 hit single, 'Jimmy Mack'.
In a tweet to the official Big Beat twitter account this morning, Martha said "Matt was Great. A nice, charming and talented young man".
We say, "well in Matt".
Earlier in the week we performed for the GB Group's annual UK Christmas party at Chester Town Hall. It was a brilliant night - there were around 300 happy staff from all over the UK dancing the night away, no doubt helped along by the very generous free bar!!
Chester Racecourse provided the catering and we loved the meal!
It's always nice to have a proper feed and be appreciated!! We play extra songs then!
